Wi-Fi Calling will not turn on
Wi-Fi Calling needs a carrier-enabled line, an unlocked compatible phone, and a network path that carries UDP.
What to do
- Turn the line on, then Settings → Cellular → [your line] → Wi-Fi Calling and enable it (Android: Phone app → Settings → Calls → Wi-Fi Calling).
- Register the emergency (E911) address when asked — without it the toggle usually flips itself back off.
- Restart the phone once after installing the eSIM so the modem re-reads the carrier profile.
- Use a VPN that passes UDP. Our lines need the carrier tunnel over UDP; a VPN or proxy that blocks or throttles UDP will stop registration even though the Wi-Fi looks fine.
- Still off? Airplane mode on, Wi-Fi back on, wait 2–3 minutes. Then check the VPN is UDP-capable end to end (not TCP-only) and try another server.
