Speed, fair use and hotspot
After the high-speed allowance the line stays usable at 384 kbps — enough for maps, messaging and payments.
What to do
- Each plan has a high-speed allowance; check the plan page or your order email for the exact number.
- When it runs out the line is throttled under fair use to 384 kbps rather than cut off — three times the 128 kbps many providers settle for.
- 384 kbps comfortably covers maps, messaging, email, ride-hailing and mobile payments; video streaming is not realistic at that speed.
- If a speed test looks slow while you still have allowance, re-check the data line, roaming and APN before blaming the network.
- Hotspot sharing depends on the destination network and the plan; if tethering matters for your trip, confirm before buying.
